Our work with communities ranges from providing technical advice at a strategic level, on planning applications, through to designing the smallest park.We specialise in providing Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments for small business and farms, including solar farms, especially where these are located in sensitive landscapes such as the Dorset AONB.
We enjoy working with local groups to help them improve their environment, whether on a housing estate or in a local park or play space. As designers we are skilled at working with communities to help them put their ideas into practice in a way which makes the most of their site, often with limited budgets. Above all we understand the importance of really listening to what people think, and we approach the matter of community engagement thoroughly, never in a tokenistic way.
Our term consultancy with Sovereign Housing Association (SHA) takes us across the south west and as far as the home counties and we are currently working on a range of projects for SHA including improvements to communal gardens, and open spaces for informal recreation.
