ASA worked with letter cutter and stone-carver Richard Kindersley on these environmental improvements to the riverside boundary of the new Priory Retail Park in Colliers Wood, South London. Though only a very narrow site between the car park and the stream, (‘Pickle Ditch’), careful modification of ground levels and sensitive use of materials and planting created a quiet peaceful space which feels quite separate from the bustle of the surrounding retail park.
With the support of the Environment Agency, ASA piloted a new method of installing planting within the concrete base and walls of the channel, helping to improve Pickle Ditch for wildlife.
