ASA was appointed as the landscape advisor for this Stage 1 application to the Heritage Lottery Fund’s ‘Parks for People’ programme.
Following a process of site survey and meetings with key stakeholders, ASA developed a master plan prioritising the improvements which were felt appropriate for this funding stream. A wide range of elements were considered, from the opportunities of archaeology through to horticultural excellence and not forgetting conflicting opinions to be considered on the facilities that some (not all) enjoyed, such as the aviaries. The final outcome of the £4 million bid is still awaited.
