Well Hall Pleasaunce

At Well Hall Pleasaunce, an Edwardian Park with mediaeval origins, the practice was appointed by the ‘Friends’ group to help them introduce a designated play space into this important Listed historic landscape, alongside the Grade 2 Listed Tudor Barn. Following a highly successful scheme further help was sought to develop a plan for upgrading the rather tired-looking Moat Garden, formerly the site of Edith Nesbit’s home and where she wrote the Railway Children. ASLD continues to be involved in the site, helping support the Friends group in their valuable work.
