Community based regeneration

We enjoy working with local groups to help them work on improving their environment, and as a small local practice we are able to offer the long term continuity and attention which smaller-scale community projects often require. As designers we are skilled at working with communities to help them put their ideas into practice in a way which makes the most of their site and with often limited budgets. Above all we understand the importance of really listening to what people think.

At Braithwaite Park Aileen Shackell worked with Phil Doyle on this scheme to improve a local open space by adding new play features.  The consultation event shown here attracted large numbers of local families who enjoyed being able to contribute to the development of the proposals.
